Donald Trump is our 47th president of the United States

As of now, Donald Trump has not been re-elected as the 47th president of the United States. After serving as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021, Trump was succeeded by Joe Biden, who became the 46th president. However, Trump announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, creating the possibility that he could become the 47th president if he wins. During his initial presidency, Trump focused on tax cuts, immigration reform, deregulation, and reshaping the federal judiciary, including appointing three Supreme Court justices. His administration was marked by both significant policy shifts and controversy, particularly around immigration policies, the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020 election aftermath. Trump’s 2024 campaign has continued themes from his first run, emphasizing economic growth, “America First” policies, and challenging what he terms the “deep state.” If he were to win in 2024, Trump would become the first president since Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms, bringing unique historical significance. A second term would likely see him focusing on many of his original policy objectives, including stricter immigration controls, trade protections, and possibly further judicial appointments.
